CART BARN ATTENDANT

SUMMARY 

Load and unload golf bags, service and maintain golf carts. Pick aqua range daily.

 

HOURS/DAYS

Hours and Days fluctuate according to the time of year and activity level of the Club.

Hourly Plus Tips- Tips are split among all staff members daily.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Greet members and guests.
  • Remove golf bags from cars and/or club storage and set them on carts prior to play.
  • Review Tee Sheet to anticipate Member play. Inspect all clubs to ensure they have been cleaned prior to placing them on a cart.  Upon completion of play, clean all clubs prior to storing.
  • Stock each cart with towels, scorecard, pencils and divot sand. Performs periodic cart maintenance, special repair and update service records.
  • Maintain the cart staging area in a neat and orderly fashion. This includes the cart wash down area and bag drop area. 
  • Maintain a clean golf cart fleet,. Carts will be cleaned when coming out and also cleaned when being returned to Cart Barn including but not limited to windshields, floorboards, roofs, coolers and overall cleanliness
  • Print up Guest Tags for the day and ensure they are placed on the guest's bag upon arrival.
  • Help Starter in adhering to the Member's assigned tee times by directing them to the first tee. Communicate with the Starter and Golf Shop staff to ensure all Club rules are being followed.
  • Set up Driving Range daily, and keep it stocked with Range Balls as necessary.
  • Pick the Range when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly bag room, all member and guest golf bags with appropriate identification and in proper storage racks, rental clubs and counter are to be kept clean and in order.
  • Cart Barn to be kept clean and free of all debris.
  • Help Starter in adhering to the Member's assigned tee times by directing them to the first tee. Communicate with the Starter and Golf Shop staff to ensure all Club rules are being followed.
  • Assist members and guests as they depart from the golf course. Clean and load clubs into vehicles.
  • Project a friendly, helpful attitude to all members and guests of the club.
  • All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • PGA Assistant, Apprentice or PGM Intern preferred
  • Must demonstrate a proficient golf playing ability.
  • Must be a team player and service oriented.
  • High School Graduate or GED preferred

 

SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent interpersonal/communication and customer service skills.
  • Maintains professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Ability to meet US employment eligibility requirements and company eligibility requirements.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, and talk or hear.  The associate is occasionally required to sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

 

The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
